Several studies support the effectiveness of hypnobirthing, particularly in reducing anxiety, pain, and interventions during labour:

  1. 2024 Systematic Review: A recent review highlighted that hypnobirthing significantly reduces fear and pain during labour, and enhances the overall childbirth experience. The study emphasised the reduced need for pharmacological pain relief, such as epidurals(MDPI).

  2. 2023 Study: This review explored the benefits of various prenatal interventions, including hypnobirthing, showing that women who practised these techniques had significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety leading up to and during childbirth (BioMed Central).

  3. Previous Research (2006): Earlier studies also show that hypnobirthing can lead to fewer medical interventions and an overall increase in maternal satisfaction with the birthing process (MDPI).
